On the palate: Persistent and pleasant notes of ginger, vanilla, dark chocolate and coffee bean, resin and praline. With notes of new car leather, wet earth, and oak, this traditional, honest rum embodies the essence of Jamaica's rum-making heritage—a culmination of over 260 years of tropical expertise.

The nose is voluptuous and intense, with notes of caramelised apple and sweet spices mixed with a delicate touch of smokiness. Aged 8 years in the tropical Jamaican climate, equivalent to almost 25 years of maturation in the European climate. Its light taste and unique balance means that it can be mixed with light flavours such as mint and lime without either dominating them or disappearing in them. The rum has been aged for 8 years in Jamaica in a tropical climate, which is equivalent to almost 25 years of maturation in the European climate. The banana only really comes in with the taste along with the typical Hampden flavours hiding under the most pronounced burn, the burnt tyres, and an oily-ness, all moving into a long finish.
